Keep Your Summer Glow

Keep Your Summer Glow

We all love the rested, healthy glow that comes from a summer spent in the great outdoors. And although our summer beach forays and mountain excursions are firmly in our rear view mirror, you don’t have to completely say goodbye to your dewy, sun-kissed, summer look.

Here are our favorite product tips to give your skin a natural-looking hint of warmth well into the fall:

  • The cornerstone of healthy looking and feeling skin is hydration and moisturization. Following a summer of sun-exposure, even the most diligent sunscreen-appliers may find that their skin is depleted of moisture. So use your favorite exfoliant to remove any dry, patchy areas, and follow that with a good, intensive moisturizer to get you back to where you need to be. Our Rhonda Allison serums and moisturizers are an excellent choice (and 20% off for VIP members!).
  • Even out your complexion with a sheer, brightening foundation. If you’d like to use a bit of bronzing foundation, use it sparingly, applying it lightly (perhaps with a brush) to areas that the sun would naturally touch, like across the bridge of the nose and around the forehead. Subtlety is key!
  • If you prefer a powder bronzer, avoid those that are too shimmery or that have orange undertones. Opt for a true beige or brown tone and apply it lightly with a big brush, only where the sun would naturally hit you. Again, less is more.
  • If you want to steer clear of bronzers entirely, a cream blush applied to the apples of the cheeks can be tremendously fresh-looking and give your skin a dewy look that we adore. Light coral works well on a variety of skin tones.

Fall is here, friends. But that’s absolutely no reason to put away your glow!
