Chemical Peels
Learn more about how our chemical peels in Dallas can help you look and feel your best.
Celebrities and socialites all over the world are video blogging and posting about their latest beauty treatments. Many of the most popular are laser treatments, chemical peels, and facials. Kim Kardashian is famous for posting her beauty adventures. We want our clients at Spa in the City to experience the same treatments and results. They say pain is beauty, but chemical peels in Dallas are a virtually painless procedure everyone should consider.
At Spa in the City, YOU are our favorite A-lister, so here are a few things you should know about chemical peels.
About Procedure
What are chemical peels?
Learn more about chemical peels and how they can improve your skin.
Our chemical peels are a nonsurgical, non-invasive resurfacing method that produces quick, sure results for softer, younger looking skin. Chemical peels can help soften a roughly textured surface, improve dull skin, and add moisture to dry cells. These peels can counteract sun-damaged skin and pre-cancerous cells it may contain.
While the result is similar to microdermabrasion, we use chemical peels at Spa in the City in Dallas for more intense situations where microdermabrasion may not be up to the task. For people at high risk, a light chemical peel three or four times a year is the best way to keep skin cancer at bay.
Side note: We encourage you to visit your dermatologist yearly to have all your spots examined before beginning any peeling regime. It is also helpful for individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation. Every skin type can benefit from one of our chemical peels in Dallas.
All chemical peels involve applying a chemical solution to the skin which, after a day or so, peels off. We apply varying strengths of the solutions to determine whether you will have light, medium, or deep peeling. After the skin loosens and falls away, it allows the new skin to appear from beneath. You will see a dramatic difference in skin color, texture, and tone. The skin feels softer, smoother, and has a healthy glow.
Chemical peels can erase fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth. They also smooth areas of rough skin. A chemical peel also creates an even skin tone by lightening freckles, sun damage, age spots, and blotchy skin caused by certain medications, such as birth control pills.
It is important to understand peels cannot remove deep scars, tighten sagging skin, or eliminate tiny broken blood vessels on the face or nose. We can, however, recommend a few different therapies to help you with these issues as well.

What to Expect
Here’s what to expect when you get a chemical peel at Spa in the City.
We apply the peel after a thorough cleansing of the skin. You will feel no discomfort, and there is no redness following the application. You will feel comfortable enough to return to your normal activities right away, including going back to work. Total time in the office for this procedure is around 30-minutes.
During the short recovery time, you will peel lightly for a couple of days. Be sure to protect the treated area from the sun by staying indoors or by using a zinc-oxide based sunscreen. After one week, the skin will look clearer, brighter, smoother, and younger. We have several types of chemical peels available. After assessing your skin and goals, our team will find the right peel for you.
