VI Peels
How can a VI Peel in Dallas help you look and feel your best?
Celebrities and socialites all over the world are video blogging and posting about their latest beauty treatments. Many of the most popular are laser treatments, chemical peels, and facials. Kim Kardashian famously posts her beauty adventures, and we want our patients at Spa in the City to experience the same treatments and results. They say beauty is pain, but our treatments minimize discomfort at every step, so you get the beauty results you want without pain.
At Spa in the City, you’re our favorite A-lister, so here are a few things you should know about VI Peels.
About Procedure
What are VI peels?
Learn more about the VI Peel in Dallas and how it can improve your skin.
Our VI Peels produce quick, sure results for softer, younger looking skin through non-invasive methods. Chemical peels can help soften a roughly textured surface, improve dull skin, and add moisture to dry cells. These peels can counteract sun-damaged skin and pre-cancerous cells it may contain. While microdermabrasion offers similar results, the VI peel in Dallas suits more intense situations where microdermabrasion may not be up to the task.
For people at high risk, a light chemical peel twice a year is the best way to keep skin cancer at bay. It also helps individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation. Every skin type can benefit from a VI peel in Dallas.

What are VI Peels Continued…
All VI Peels involve applying a chemical solution to the skin which, after a day or so, peels off. We apply varying strengths of the solutions to determine whether you will have light or medium peeling. After the skin loosens and falls away, it allows the new skin to appear from beneath. You will see a dramatic difference in skin color, texture, and tone. The skin feels softer, smoother, and has a healthy glow to it.
Chemical peels erase fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth and smoothes areas of rough skin. A chemical peel can also create an even skin tone by lightening freckles, sun, age spots, and even blotchy skin caused by certain medications, such as birth control pills. However, it is important to understand peels cannot remove deep scars, tighten sagging skin, or eliminate tiny broken blood vessels on the face or nose. We can, however, recommend a few different therapies to help you with these issues as well.
What to Expect
Here’s what to expect when you get a VI Peel.
Depending on which peel our skilled estheticians think is best for your skin, we apply the peel after a thorough cleansing and degreasing of the skin. You will feel no discomfort, and there is no redness following the application. You will feel comfortable enough to return to your normal activities right away, including going back to work. Total time in the office for this procedure is around 30-minutes.
During the short recovery time, you will peel moderately to heavily for a couple of days. Be sure to protect the treated area from the sun by staying indoors or by using a zinc-oxide based sunscreen provided in the post-care kit. After one week, the skin will look clearer, brighter, smoother and younger. We have several types of VI Peels available, and after assessing your skin and goals, our team will find the peel that is right for you.
