Back to School Means Back to You
Back to School Means Back to You
Let’s face it, summer is waning. Notifications of school supply lists and back to school orientations are glaring at us from our in-boxes, telling us it’s time to get our kids back in a more scheduled frame of mind. And although it’s easy to feel melancholy about the end of summer fun, it’s not all bad.
Because back to school means back to you.
With your children firmly ensconced in the hallowed halls of learning, it’s time to reacquaint yourself with….yourself.
Why don’t you….
- Take some time for introspection. Capitalize on the quiet and take stock. What is working for you? What needs to change? Take this time to really look inward. It’s time well spent.
- Take some time to take care of your body. Whatever that means for you. Re-center with some yoga. Join your friends on the tennis courts. Make an appointment with a trainer. Take a walk.
- Take some time to learn something new. Take up an instrument. Tackle a second (or third!) language. Take some cooking classes. Find a new athletic endeavor. Get outside your comfort zone!
- Take some time to indulge. Have a long, leisurely lunch with friends. Spend the day window shopping. Read that book you’ve been dying to get into. Have a spa day!
Enjoy the “you” time. You deserve it!
