As we age, our skin changes.
There are more than 20 types of Collagen found within the body. It provides tissue, support, strength and integrity. As we age, we lose collagen and elastin, which can lead to the formation of dynamic wrinkles, like laugh lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet. Collagen Types I and III are the predominant forms found in the skin. Bellafill from spa in the City in Dallas stimulates both Type I and Type III collagen for long-lasting correction.
But, with Bellafill from your cutting edge experts at Spa in the City, you don’t have to just sit back and let it happen!
About Procedure
What is BELLAFILL?
Learn more about Bellafill and how it can help you look your best.
The ability of our cells to produce hyaluronic acid diminishes with age, resulting in the formation of wrinkles and folds as the skin loses volume. Bellafill, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres suspended within a base of smooth collagen gel, is injected into the skin in tiny amounts to replace lost volume, lifting up and smoothing out unwanted wrinkles. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Bellafill for the treatment of facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, the lines between the nose and mouth. This allows for greater customization and flexibility in the treatment of each patient. Bellafill can be used for smoothing out folds and wrinkles and shaping facial contours. The most common areas are the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of the mouth) and marionette lines, temples, jawline and acne scars.
What to Expect
Here’s what to expect when you undergo Bellafill in Dallas.
Immediately after the treatment, you can expect slight redness, swelling, tenderness, possible bruising or an itching sensation in the treated area. These are all normal results of the Bellafill injection. The discomfort is temporary and generally disappears in a few days. If you are treating acne scars there may be more bruising and a bit longer healing time.
It has been shown in clinical trials and FDA approved that Bellafill is effective for five years, but individual results may vary
